The Legacy: Three Generations of Passion, Purpose, and Craftsmanship
From battlefield honor to showroom excellence, the Aslam family’s journey spans over three generations of unwavering dedication to the art and ethics of handmade rugs. It began with Mr. Aslam Senior, a decorated World War II veteran whose post-military mission was to empower weavers in Pakistan. In a region monopolized by exploitative dealers, he stood up for artisans, breaking the cycle of injustice by ensuring they could sell directly and earn a fair livelihood.
The Second Generation: Saeed Aslam
His son, Saeed Aslam, brought this powerful legacy to the USA in 1979 and laid the foundation for Alyshaan Fine Rugs, now a distinguished name in the luxury rug industry.
The Third Generation: Sameer Aslam
In 2006, Sameer Aslam joined Alyshaan Fine Rugs, carrying forward the family’s third generation of passion, craftsmanship, and dedication to fine rugs.
Inspired by his grandfather and father, Sameer has helped shape the company’s next chapter, leading the development of its specialized rug care, cleaning, and restoration services in Arizona.
Today, he represents both continuity and evolution—honoring family tradition while bringing new expertise and vision to the business. From his grandfather’s original passion to his father’s expansion in America, Sameer continues a three-generation commitment to preserving the art of the fine rug.
